Omagh victim's families still awaiting compensation
It has been revealed that several of the families who lost relatives in the Omagh bombing in 1998 have not received compensation.
The Omagh Victims group said that this was despite government claims that the claims would be put on the "fast track".
Chairman of the Victim's Group Michael Gallagher, who lost his son Aidan in the attack, said that almost four years after the attack a number of families had not yet received compensation.
The Northern Ireland Office blamed the solicitors acting for the claimants, who had filed incomplete reports.
A Compensation Agency spokesperson said that in all cases the agency needed full details before they could act, and that they had requested information from the claimants' legal representatives.
A spokesperson for the NIO said that the Secretary of State had personally reviewed a number of the cases that were on a short list, and that every effort had been made to help settle the claims.
The bombing in 1998 left 29 people dead and injured hundreds.

Omagh Bombing: ECHR Rejects 'Unfair Trial' Claims
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has declared that a trial of two Irish republicans found liable for the Omagh bomb was not unfair. 29 were killed in one of the worst atrocities of the Troubles in 1998. Liam Campbell and Michael McKevitt were two of four men found liable. The civil case was brought by families of the victims.

Ulster Unionist Transport Minister, Danny Kennedy, has announced plans for automatic eligibility for a Blue Badge for Service Personnel in receipt of benefits under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. Ulster Bank Customers 'Put To Back Of RBS Queue'
RBS Group has been accused of putting Northern Ireland customers "to the back of the queue" as they face entering a third week of account problems at Ulster Bank. NI Shadow Secretary of State Vernon Coaker said the banking group, which owns Ulster Bank, had "serious questions" to answer for the way customers here have been treated.
