Appeal Follows Threat On Elderly Pair
The PSNI have appealed for information after an elderly couple were left terrified after being threatened by men armed with a hammer at their home in Co Armagh.
Three masked men broke into the pensioners' home in the Tarry Drive area of the Lurgan at approximately 10.50pm on Tuesday.
One of the males used the hammer to smash a television, a grandfather clock and the front door of the property.
However, no injuries were reported and nothing was stolen in the incident.
It is believed the couple, Robert and Gertrude Hesketh had just moved back into their family home of 40 years after living elsewhere for 18 months.
Aged 69 and 73 respectively, they were told by the intruders that they had 48 hours to get out of the house or it would be burned down.
The couple's son, Owen, said on BBC Radio Ulster this morning that he was not sure if his parents would return to their home following the attack.
