Drugs Bust Man For Court
A man charged with drugs offences after a police raid in Co Armagh earlier this week is to appear in court today.
After his arrest on Tuesday, when it is alleged that valium and diazepam tablets were discovered during a police search of a house in Portadown, the 47-year-old man has been charged with possession of Class C drugs with intent to supply.
He is to appear in court on Wednesday over the illegal haul which a police spokeswoman said had an estimated street value of £37,000.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, a 22-year-old man is facing a charge of possessing drugs with intent to supply.
He has been charged with possessing Class A drugs with the intention of supplying them and also faces charges of possessing Class B and C drugs.
A police spokesman said the man is also charged with failing to answer police bail. He is due to appear in Newry court on 12 August.
The charges follow the police search of a house in the Warrenpoint area on 16 July.
