Haddock Questioned Over Four Killings

A notorious loyalist leader has been arrested in connection with four murders dating back to the 1990s.

Mark Haddock is being questioned about the murders of John Harbinson in May 1997, Gary Convie and Eamon Fox in March 1994 and that of murdered woman, Sharon McKenna in January 1993.

The suspect was arrested by officers from the Historical Enquiries Team.

The 40-year-old - from north Belfast's Mount Vernon estate - was taken from Maghaberry Prison under arrest and is being held at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

He is also being questioned about a number of assaults and a shooting incident.

The UVF figure is currently serving a 10-year sentence in Maghaberry prison for attacking a club doorman.

Earlier this year, he was charged with the murder of a rival loyalist - UDA leader Tommy English - which was in 2000.
