Divers certain bodies on board sunken boat
Divers searching the wreckage of fishing boat the Tullaghmurray Lass have said that they are now certain that the bodies of the three members of the Greene family are on board.
On Wednesday afternoon, police took another part of the sunken Tullaghmurray Lass ashore for examination.
The small fishing vessel sank seven weeks ago off the County Down coast with Michael Greene, his son and eight-year-old grandson, also called Michael Greene all on board.
Divers raised another part of the stern of the boat on Wednesday and confirmed they were certain the bodies were inside the vessel.
Police divers have been filming the wreckage using specialist underwater cameras since they located the boat over two weeks ago.
The Ken Vickers found the missing boat using sonar equipment in 42 metres of water seven miles off Kilkeel on 21 March, after weeks of searches by local fishermen and the Irish and British navies.
Neither the police nor marine accident investigators have been willing to speculate on suggestions that the boat’s severely damaged stern and wheelhouse indicate it sank after being hit by a much larger vessel.

The official challenge between Queen's University Belfast and Trinity College Dublin took place yesterday at Queen's Boat Club on the River Lagan to launch the second University Boat Race. This unique head to head rowing event, which mirrors the Oxford Cambridge Boat race, saw Trinity take home last year’s trophy beating Queen's by four lengths.

Two fishermen rescued from stricken vessel
Two fishermen have been saved from their boat following a collision south of Carlingford Lough. It emerged that the Scathross from Kilkeel had been struck by the Emanuel, a second vessel also from Kilkeel.

Underwater search and recovery operation postponed
Poor weather has again hampered the underwater search for the bodies of three missing members of the Greene family. Police divers who were searching for the bodies of Michael Green, his son and his grandson postponed their search on Monday because of bad weather conditions.

Investigation begins into Carlingford Lough fishing tragedy
Police and the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) have begun a full investigation into the sinking in Carlingford Lough of the Kilkeel-based fishing boat Charisma, which left a 22-year old man dead and two others in hospital.
