Double Accolade For AV Browne
An established advertising agency in Belfast has been celebrating a 'double'.
The AV Browne Group was chosen as category winners for the Best Creative Recruitment Advertisement Award for the PSNI's 'Dilemmas' campaign and highly commended for Best Creative Recruitment Advertisement Award for its work on behalf of the Army.
News of the 'double' was revealed at the Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards held this month at the Ramada Hotel.

Effective AV Browne win top awards in London
AV Browne proved that local advertising campaigns can compete with the best in the UK. The Advertising agency picked up not only a prestigious Silver National IPA Effectiveness Award at a glittering gala event in London but also scooped the award for ‘Best Launch Campaign’ for their work with Hastings Hotels.

Security Alert In Portadown Now Ended
A security alert following the discovery of a suspected World War Two grenade in Portadown has now ended. The device was found on Bridge Street on Tuesday by a member of the public who had been fishing in the River Bann. Ammunition technical officers attended the scene and confirmed it was a viable device.

£1.3m jobs and benefits office opens in Portadown
A £1.3 million Jobs and Benefit Office has been opened in Portadown today. The new centre, which was officially opened by Social Development Minister Des Browne, brings together the services of the Social Security Agency and the Department for Employment and Learning to help local unemployed people back into work.
