Belfast CyberSources Offices Opened By Foster

NI Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has officially opened the new CyberSource offices in Belfast.

Last year it was announced that the US firm, would develop a 56 person research and development (R&D) centre in Belfast, with support from Invest NI.

Speaking as she opened the offices, the Minister said: "Just over 12 months ago, on the first day of the USNI Investment Conference, we celebrated the announcement that one of the world's most innovative software firms would be setting up a research and development centre here with Invest NI support.

"Today, as we celebrate the official opening of this new centre, we can see how rapidly CyberSource has developed its presence in Northern Ireland, with over a third of its target of 56 highly skilled staff in place."

Bill McKiernan, Chairman and CEO of CyberSource added: "The Belfast R&D centre has already proven to be a valuable addition to our global R&D operations.

"With increasing global demand for our services and our commitment to developing the most advanced risk management and secure payment solutions available, this centre has helped us to meet the demands of our customers and further strengthen our reputation for technical innovation."
