Open + Direct enters insurance market
A new name in insurance has appeared on high streets in Northern Ireland this week following a re-branding campaign by one of Northern Ireland's leading insurance providers.
Open + Direct Insurance is the new name for three NI based brokerages acquired by local financial services company, Open + Direct Group, two years ago.
With effect from Monday April 15, Spratt Insurance Services based in Newtownards, Belfast and Enniskillen; SG Cathcart & Co located in Coleraine and WG O'Kane Insurance Brokers with offices in Dungiven, Londonderry and Magherafelt will be known as Open + Direct Insurance.
Joe Doyle, Managing Director of Open + Direct Insurance NI, said: "This week's re-branding represents a significant step in the development of our NI insurance operations.
"Since the acquisition of Spratts, Cathcarts and O'Kanes, management focus has been on strengthening the business infrastructure to support future aggressive growth plans. This phase is now complete and the arrival of Open + Direct on the high street signals the beginning of a push to establish the company as the number one insurance provider in Northern Ireland.
"Investment in new technology, coupled with a wider product portfolio, will bring a faster, more efficient level of service to customers at extremely competitive prices."
Belfast based Open + Direct has grown swiftly since it was created in April 1999. Focusing heavily on investment in technology solutions to financial services, it has continued to grow within the insurance and point of sale retail credit markets throughout the UK, employing more than 400 staff.
