Baby Girl Dies In A House Blaze
A 18-month-old girl has died after an overnight blaze at her home in Dungiven, Co Londonderry.
The fire broke out in a bedroom of their house, in Killyblight Road, around 23pm on Tuesday. A fire appliance from Dungiven and two from Limavady attended the incident.
All the members of the family escaped from the house, but the baby girl later died in hospital.
Her three brothers, aged under 12, and her parents suffered severe smoke inhalation, although they are now in a stable condition in hospital.
Police said the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
Meanwhile, an elderly woman has also died following a house fire, this time in the Sutton area of north Dublin.
The blaze broke out at a house on Offington Drive at around 11pm.
A woman in her 70s was alone in the house at the time and was rushed to Beaumont Hospital, but died a short time later.
Three units of the Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene and eventually brought the fire under control at around 1am.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze

Fatal House Fire In Newtownards
A woman in her 30s has died in a fire at a house in Newtownards, Co. Down. The fire occurred at a house in Ilex Avenue at around 5.30pm and the woman is reported to have died at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is being conducted by police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Pensioner Dies After House Fire In South Belfast
A pensioner has died following a house fire in south Belfast. The blaze happened at a property in the Donegall Avenue area at around 6pm on Wednesday, 30 May. The woman, aged in her 80's, was taken to hospital, however she died a short time later. The cause of the fire is not being treated as suspicious, according to the PSNI.

The blaze happened at a property in the Molly Road area of Derrlin on Tuesday morning, 27 February. The 27-year-old male was detained at the scene and attended hospital to be treated before he was arrested.
