NI Businesses Borrow From Fund

Substantial business loans - amounting to over £100m - have been grabbed by numerous small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) in Northern Ireland since a special fund was set up by the Ulster Bank just four months ago.

The fund has helped the creation or securing of hundreds of jobs at more than 250 businesses which have been given support through the bank's £250m SME fund.

It has been revealed that such is the level of demand and applications under consideration, the bank said it was on track to lend the remainder of the fund by the end of the year.
