Perfect exam success pays say ICS Computing
Payroll controllers from Belfast-based payroll suppliers, ICS Computing, have achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in a nationally recognised industry exam.
Nine employees enrolled on the Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management's (IPPM) Foundation Course in Payroll Administration six months ago, and all nine have now been told they have achieved the required standard.
With advice from Liz Coey, ICS training manager, the staff completed the course through distance learning and then underwent two manager marked assignments and two examinations. They will receive their certificates at an award ceremony in London later in the year.
In the meantime, a fresh intake of payroll controllers is now starting the same examination course.
Liz Coey said: "The aim was to get everyone through the exam, because it is a good payroll qualification from a recognised source of learning. Our payroll team is expanding every year so it is our policy to give them the best possible training because it will develop their knowledge and the benefits will be passed on to our clients."
ICS Computing's payroll division now has over 75 staff. The company provides managed payroll services and HR software solutions to companies in both the private and public sectors.
With offices in Belfast, London, Glasgow and Newbury, ICS Computing has over 200 UK clients, including household names such as Carpetright and Homebase.
