Sunday Business Post acquired by Thomas Crosbie Holdings

Irish media company, Thomas Crosbie Holdings Limited has acquired The Sunday Business Post from Trinity Mirror plc for €10 million.

The Thomas Crosbie group now has 12 newspaper titles across the Republic and Northern Ireland and the purchase of the successful Sunday Business Post represents the sixth acquisition of a newspaper title by the company inside two years.

Commenting on the acquisition of The Sunday Business Post, Anthony Dinan, Managing Director, Thomas Crosbie Holdings said the deal was a significant investment for the Group given that the Sunday Business Post has been an outstanding success since its inception thanks to the "considerable efforts of its management and employees down through the years".

The Sunday Business Post has a current circulation of 55,000, up from around 27,000 at its launch in 1999.
