Northwin receive go ahead for £150m investment

One of Northern Ireland's leading property developers, Northwin Developments, has unveiled plans for a multi-million pound investment in Belfast.

Celebrating receipt of planning permission for 'Wellington Square', Justin Green (Housing Manager) of Northwin Developments, explained how the 350 new homes are based upon a unique community development. He said: "It's not just a development of new houses. Wellington Square will be a new neighbourhood, sweeping across South Belfast. The homes will be situated within welcoming streets and courtyards, surrounded by grass, trees and the River Lagan. There will be cycle paths and open spaces, ensuring a bright and airy environment which is also warm and welcoming."

Mr Green also explained the design and build strategy behind the largest city centre private development to be released in Belfast for over twenty years. He added: "Unlike many recent clusters of new houses, Wellington Square is a major step in the direction that the City is moving towards, in line with the Belfast Metropolitan Plan for 2015.

"It also demonstrates the best example of new quality initiatives and leading edge techniques to come on the market, setting new standards for others to follow. Northwin has set out to reflect public desire for homes and neighbourhoods they can be proud of and Wellington Square will satisfy all the elements of a futuristic city environment."

Cooper Cromer has been appointed as architect and this new community of refined family homes, modern townhouses and stylish apartments will be purchased through Gerry O'Connor Estate Agents.
