Boy, 17, Injured In Belfast Gun Attack

A youth has been shot and injured in a paramilitary-style attack in west Belfast last night.

Police said the 17-year-old remains in a non-life threatening condition in hospital.

The shooting happened close to a convenience store on the Whiterock road around 10.15pm

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Three unknown men were involved in the attack and made off in a red coloured Mondeo car, according to detectives.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the shooting, or who has any information, to contact officers at Tennent street on 0845 600 8000.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry
A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Man Shot In West Belfast
An investigation has been launched into a shooting in west Belfast. Police say that a man in his 20s was shot in the legs at about 20:00 on Saturday. The attack happened in an alleyway off Shaws Road in the west of the city. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
