Jobs Boost At Maynooth

More than 150 jobs are set to be created in Co Kildare during the construction of a new research building at NUI Maynooth.

Around €15m is being invested in the state-of-the-art facility. The construction posts will be rolled out over the next year.

150 Building Jobs At €20m Maynooth Library Project
One hundred and fifty construction jobs are to be created with the building of a new university library at Maynooth, the Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe has announced. The state-of-the-art facility, due to be completed by 2011, will employ a further 20 people to run the library.

Panelto Foods has announced the creation of 110 new jobs with the expansion of its facility at Longford Business & Technology Park. The expansion work, due to begin next week, will also create 100 construction jobs in the region for the coming year.

Mallinckrodt Plant Development To Create 300 Construction Jobs
300 construction jobs are expected to be created after a biopharmaceutical firm in west Dublin announced it is developing a new facility. Mallinckrodt is to develop a €45m plant in Blanchardstown.
