Expansion At Dundrum Shopping Centre
Over 100 new jobs are to be created at Dundrum's largest shopping mall, as the award-winning centre expands its retail offering over the next several months.
Dundrum Town Centre said seven new tenants will open their doors, offering fashion, leisure, food and specialist services, ultimately generation 104 new jobs, as well dozens more for local shop fitters.
Celebrity favourite fashion brand Lipsy, will open its doors on Level 1.
Douglas and Kaldi Terrace Café & Restaurant located on Level 2, has just launched providing full table service and terraced seating to customers, whilst the H&M Kids store, located on Level 3, has just opened its doors to the public.
Butchers, The Butcher's Block, opened its doors to great fanfare recently, and Chaplain's, a convenient one-stop-shop for shoe repairs, key cutting, dry-cleaning and men's suit hire will open in May.
It will be located in a large unit on the Sandyford Road, which has also set to welcome EducoGym, the innovative sports and leisure centre, to the retail area.
Dundrum Town Centre most recently announced the opening of Gap's first Irish stand alone store to the centre, set to open next month.
The Dundrum Gap store will be 8,000 square feet over two floors, housing the women's, men's, GapKid's and babyGap collections.
Don Nugent, Centre Director, Dundrum Town Centre, said: "We are delighted to announce these new arrivals at Dundrum Town Centre.
"These latest arrivals demonstrate the confidence retailers have in Dundrum, as the Centre of choice during these economic uncertain times."
The opening of a further seven new retailers to Dundrum Town Centre is also reflected by the strong performance the centre has shown during the first quarter of 2009, with double digit growth in footfall recorded, versus the same period during 2008.
Dundrum Town Centre opened its doors in March 2005 with 15 first time retailers in Ireland including Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser, H&M and Massimo Dutti.
The centre has received 30 international and national awards including the FBD Retail Excellence Ireland Award 2008.

Up To 300 New Jobs Created At Dundrum
The creation of over 300 new full and part time jobs has been announced by the Irish Republic's Minister for Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation at a news briefing at Dundrum Town Centre. The announcement will bring the employee population of Dundrum Town Centre to almost 6,000, the equivalent of Monaghan town.

Nandos Creates Jobs In Cork
Restaurant chain Nando's is to create 28 jobs in Cork with the opening of its latest restaurant. The company already has four restaurants throughout the island of Ireland, employing 155 people. The new restaurant will be located on Mahon Link Road in Cork, and joins existing outlets in Dundrum, Swords and Belfast.

DV8 To Bring 25 Jobs
Some twenty five jobs will be created in Clonmel with the arrival of a major British fashion retail store later this month. Retailer DV8, with a network of 30 stores in the UK, is set to open its first Irish branch in Clonmel’s town centre at the end of October. The 5,000-square feet outlet is due to open at the Ormonde Centre on Gladstone Street.

The €500m Athlone Town Centre development is being described as one of Europe's biggest rejuvenation projects. Around 1,000 people are to work at the centre, which includes shops, a hotel and more than 60 apartments.
