Charges After City Drugs Raid
Four people have appeared before Laganside Magistrates Court charged with drug offences.
The arrests were made following a police swoop in the greater Belfast area yesterday.
Popular city centre nightclub Mynt, on Dunbar Link, was searched as part of the operation.
The club was subjected to a covert police operation on three weekends between January and March, the court heard today.
A number of other locations were also investigated by specialist police teams.
The operation targeted the supply of cocaine and ecstasy.
Police charged five men and a women, all in their 20s and 30s, in relation to the city-wide raids.
They are accused of offences relating to the possession and supply of class A drugs.
Today three of the accused men and the women heard the charges read before a magistrate.
Another man will appear in court later.

Fourteen in court following drugs crackdown operation
Fourteen people arrested in a major police anti-drugs operation on Thursday have appeared before courts across the province. The arrests were made following a police crackdown on heroin dealing, codenamed ‘Operation Galiot’, which took place in the early hours of Thursday morning when police searched 24 houses and arrested 18 people.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Seven remanded in custody after Ballymena drugs raid
Eleven people have appeared in Larne Magistrates Court, charged in connection with an illegal heroin network, following a police operation in the Ballymena area yesterday. Ten men and one woman appeared in court facing 31 charges relating to heroin dealing, the dealing of Class C narcotics and the distribution of prescription drugs.
