Belfast-based Dental Laboratory wins top award

The Belfast-based, McDowell and Service Dental Laboratory has been crowned UK Dental Laboratory of the Year for 2002.

Managing Director, Steven Ginn, praised the commitment and professionalism of the team and said that the award was recognition "from our peers and dental associates, highlighting the innovation, vision and dedication of the team, to provide excellent products and a superior service to our dental partners".

McDowell and Service Dental Laboratory Ltd has pioneered research and investment into new materials and techniques, to continually provide advanced service and products for dentists and in turn, their clients. This has included the introduction of titanium products, a revolutionary material to be utilised in dental products.

There are currently around 2,800 dental laboratories in the UK.

Online service encourages greener business practices

NI Plastics Firm Secures International Business
An NI plastic products manufactuer has secured a significant business deal for its PVC products. Boomer Industries in Lisburn has signed off on a deal with a new customer in Saudi Arabia for its PVC products including pre-hung door systems.
