Show aims to address issue of cyber liability

The issue of "cyber liability" will be just one of the subjects addressed at the forthcoming HR Software Show organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

The event, to be held at the Barbican Centre, London, on 26-27 June, will see experts discussing employers’ legal duties surrounding the use of internet and e-mail at work, and how organisations can improve in-house communication through the use of a company intranet.

Employment law expert Olga Aikin, The Aikin Driver Partnership, will warn delegates that although employers may be getting to grips with new technology, many are failing to appreciate the privacy issues created by the Human Rights Act.

In a case study seminar Ron Collard, UK Human Resources Operations Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers, will share how his organisation has used an intranet to improve its HR function and drive brand values.

The HR Software Show’s seminar programme and exhibition will also showcase the latest in business intelligence systems and software from leaders in the industry. Solutions range from web-enabled HR systems through to e-recruitment or learning management tools. Visitors will have the opportunity to put questions to the experts and test out the latest software and web-enabled applications.

Other event highlights include product demonstrations and practical updates on selecting and implementing the right technology and simplifying payroll delivery.
