Police raid house after brothel complaints
Police have raided a house in South Belfast following complaints from residents who thought the house was being used as a brothel.
Police raided the house in Minnowburn area of Castlereagh on Thursday, May 9, and recovered various documents, records and other items.
They are being currently being examined although no arrests were made during the raid.
District Commander for the area Chief Superintendent Campbell Dixon said: “Those people operating and frequenting in premises such as these should be under no illusion that will take all appropriate steps to identify them and bring them to the courts.”
Although there no arrests were made, police are understood to be examining the documents recovered and further enquiries may result.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
