Motorcyclist Is Latest Road Victim
One motorcyclist died and another has been injured in separate accidents yesterday, the police have said.
Sunday's most serious incident saw a motorcyclist being fatally injured when his motorcycle crashed at North Queen Street, at its junction with Seaview Street in north Belfast, at about 10.30pm.
He was later identified as Gary Mitchell, 27, from the Skegoneill area of north Belfast.
Also on Sunday, another man was left in a serious condition in hospital after his motorcycle was in collision with a car in Carryduff at about 6pm.
There was also further tragedy at the weekend when a man died after he was struck by a car in Co Antrim on Saturday evening.
Named later as Robert James Callaghan, 40, from the Dunseverick area, the victim was walking on the Causeway Road in Bushmills when the accident happened.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old girl remains seriously ill in hospital after she was hit by a car in Co Down.
That accident happened on the Movilla Road in Newtownards shortly before 9pm on Saturday.

The road has now reopened. The name of the man who died has not yet been released. Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.

21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Co Armagh Collision
A 21-year-old man has died in a road traffic collision near Gilford, Co Armagh. The man is understood to have died after his motorcycle collided with a tractor on the Ballymacanallen Road at around 1.25pm on Wednesday. An investigation has been launched and police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

Woman and child die in separate road accidents
Police are appealing for information after a woman and child died in two separate road accidents overnight. In Belcoo, Co Fermanagh, a three-year-old girl died after being hit by a car. The accident happened on the Railway Road at around 9.15pm on Monday. The girl is the third child to die on Northern Ireland's roads this year.

Two More Die On NI Roads
Police are appealing for information after the latest of two fatal road accidents. A 25-year-old man has been killed in a road accident near Middletown in Co Armagh this morning. He was the driver of a Jeep which was in collision with a lorry on the Monaghan Road at 8.30am on Monday.

Light Plane Crash Lands In Ards
A pilot was forced to crash land his plane into a hedge in Newtownards, to avoid crashing in an open field where children were playing. The incident happened around 5pm on Thursday when the aircraft made the emergency landing at Dairy Hall playing fields in Co Down.
