Local SMEs to be honoured at IiP awards ceremony
A number of the province's small and medium sized enterprises (SME) are to be honoured at an Investors in People (IiP) award ceremony to be held this Friday in the Glenava House Hotel in Whiteabbey.
The recipients of the Investors in People (IiP) award will join a growing band of progressive and successful Northern Ireland organisations who have proved their commitment to continued success through what's often described as their "most valuable asset" – their workforce.
John Mulholland, spokesperson for PQ Solutions, who facilitated the scheme, said: "The programme for SMEs is sponsored by DEL and we are delighted with the successes to date. It proves that Investors in People is not just for big organisations, and is applicable to any business, whether garden centre, care home or from the manufacturing sector.
He added: "IiP is just good business practice. We have seen great improvements in business practices in working with these organisations. Northern Ireland companies are holding their own in the international marketplace."
