C&C reveals plans to float on stock exchanges

C&C Group, one of Ireland's leading beverages and snack food groups, has announced its intention to seek a listing for its shares on the Irish Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.

The Group is one of the largest manufacturers, marketers, distributors and wholesalers of branded beverages in Ireland and Northern Ireland and savoury snacks in Ireland. The Group owns several of Ireland’s most recognised beverage and snacks brands, including Ballygowan mineral water, Club Orange soda and Tayto crisps.

Commenting on the company's intentions, Executive Chairman Tony O’Brien said: "The initial public offering of C&C Group marks an exciting next stage in the Group's development and gives us the opportunity to build further on the Group's success story to date. The favourable dynamics of the Irish market, our comprehensive distribution network and the fact that many of our brands are market leaders in growing product segments give me great confidence in our future as a public company."

C&C also distributes several leading international brands, including 7Up/Pepsi, and a wide-ranging portfolio of wines and spirits in Ireland. Internationally, the Group exports Magners cider to Northern Ireland and the United States, manufactures and distributes alcoholic beverages in Italy and exports spirits and liqueurs to a wide range of overseas markets.
