Elderly Man Accused Of Raping Minor

A 67-year-old man is to appear in court today, charged with raping and indecently assaulting a minor.

The man was detained by police yesterday.

It is believed the alleged offences took place in east Belfast between 2005 and 2006.

The man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning, police said.

A man is to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court today, 19 April, charged with a robbery at an off-licence in north Belfast. The incident happened at premises on the Crumlin Road at around 7.35pm on Sunday. The man, armed with a knife, threatened staff and made off with a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.

23-Year-Old Man Charged With Murder Of Kathryn Parton
The PSNI has reported that a 23-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 34 year old Kathryn Parton, who was found dead at her home in Madrid Street in east Belfast on Wednesday, 15 May. A 43 year old woman and a 22 year old man have also been charged with the offences of assisting an offender and of aiding and abetting a breach of bail.

Two men have been charged with attempted murder and kidnap after a seriously injured man was discovered in a field in Co Antrim. The charges relate to an incident on 11 October when a injured man was found in the field on the Lisnamurrikin Road in Broughshane.

A 45-year-old man has been charged in connection with a drugs seizure in Ballymena, Co Antrim. Police seized heroin, worth an estimated street value of £2,700, during a planned search of a house on Saturday, 18 June.
