Man Pleads Guilty To Teacher's Manslaughter

A man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a teacher in Limavady in 2007.

Victor Kennedy, 35, of no fixed abode, had previously denied murdering Michael McGinnis, but he pleaded guilty to the charge of manslaughter at Londonderry Crown Court on Tuesday.

The body of Mr McGinnis, 37, had been found near steps at Blackburn Path in Limavady in July 2007.

The case has been adjourned until Wednesday.

Loyalist pleads guilty to manslaughter of UDA member
Leading loyalist William ‘Mo’ Courtney has today admitted to the manslaughter of UDA feud victim Alan McCullough. Mr McCullough’s body was found in a shallow grave on the outskirts of Belfast in 2003. The 21-year-old from the Shankill area of Belfast had been shot.

Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter Of Body Discovered In Garage
A 36-year-old Lithuanian man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a fellow Lithuanian, whose body was discovered in a garage in County Tyrone almost three years ago. The body of 32-year-old Gediminas Stauskas was found in a garage at Moor Road, near Coalisland on 15 October, 2015.

Coleraine Gas Fitter Pleads Not Guilty In CO Poisoning Trial
A Coleraine gas fitter has denied the manslaughter of two teenagers from Newtownabbey who died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Aaron Davidson and Neil McFerran died in August 2010. The 18-year-olds had been staying at an apartment in Castlerock, near Colertaine, to celebrate having finished their exams.

Men Plead Guilty To Manslaughter In Suspected Homophobic Attack
Three men have admitted to the manslaughter of a man who was beaten to death in a suspected homophobic attack in County Armagh last year. Andrew Lorimer, 43, was found dead by a burglar on 3 February 2012 who, coincidentally, broke into his property at Portlec Place in Lurgan.

Guilty Plea In Balcony Manslaughter Case
A Belfast man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a teenager. Mark Stephen Keenan, 28, has been told he faces "inevitable" time in prison. Mr Keenan was originally charged with the murder of James Murray, 19, but was re-arraigned and pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
