Festive Post Arrangements Revealed

Royal Mail is this week reminding customers of delivery and collection arrangements and Post Office branch opening hours over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

There will be a normal postal delivery with an earlier afternoon collection service from all postboxes on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, 24 December.

There will be no deliveries or collections on Christmas Day, Thursday, 25 and Boxing Day, Friday, 26 December. Normal service will resume on Saturday, 27 December.

There will be no deliveries or collections on New Year's Day, Thursday, 1 January. Normal service will resume on Friday, 2 January 2009.

Main Post Office branches will close on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, 24 December at 12.30pm.

Opening hours may vary across the network and customers are advised to check their local branch for details.

Post Office branches will be closed on Christmas Day, Thursday, 25 and Boxing Day, Friday, 26 December and will reopen on Saturday, 27 December.

Branches will be closed on New Year's Day, Thursday, 1 January and return to normal business hours from Friday, 2 January 2009.

For Parcelforce Worldwide customers, there will be a normal delivery and collection service on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, 24 December.

There will be no parcel deliveries or collections on Christmas Day, Thursday, 25 or Boxing Day, Friday, 26 December.

On Saturday, 27 December there will be no collections or deliveries, however, the Enquiry Offices at Parcelforce Worldwide depots will be open for customers to collect parcels from 8.00am –12.30pm.

Normal service will then resume on Monday, 29 December.

There will be no deliveries or collections on New Year's Day, Thursday, 1 January. Normal service will resume on Friday, 2 January 2009.
