Border Hunt For Gun Gang

The PSNI is on alert for a gang that carried out a weekend border raid which netted a cache of weapons.

The armed gang stole a number of handguns from a weapons dealer in Co Fermanagh on Saturday.

Police have just revealed the border incident and said that three masked men, one carrying a shotgun, held up the dealer in Garrison at about 5.30pm Saturday.

They said the robbers made off with two Glock 9mm pistols, a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, a Walther .22 pistol and five Hammerli .22 target pistols.

Around a half hour later, a dark blue Nissan Primera, believed to have been used by the gang, was found burnt out in Belleek - just yards from the border with the Irish Republic.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the car in Garrison before the robbery, or saw it being driven away.
