New Netcom offices for Dublin

Fianna Fáil TD Conor Lenihan recently opened the new Netcom Communications premises in the Western Parkway Business Park in Dublin.

The company has expanded to become Ireland's leading independent telecommunications specialist and is now established in Belfast, Dublin and Scotland.

Mr Lenihan said: "It is great to see a young, enthusiastic company showing such growth. In just five years Netcom has grown to employ 20 staff in Dublin and they have beaten the economic downturn in this industry to become a key player in telecommunications."

Despite the downturn in the telecommunications industry Netcom Communications continues to grow from strength to strength.

Mark Oppermann, General manager of Netcom's Dublin office believes that Netcom's success can only continue to grow, he said: "In order to meet the increased demands we moved to larger premises. The increase in business is due to Netcom's diverse portfolio of products and services which has allowed us to trade with all levels of the telecoms market and to secure manufacturing projects including the supply of the Esat Clear, Eircom Message Master and Eircom Performance ranges.

"We pride ourselves in recruiting employees from the local economy which enables us not only to help our local economy but also to build closer relationships with our customers."

Netcom's Dublin office includes amongst its customers, Eircom Retail, Bank of Ireland and Allied Irish Bank. (MB)
