Two injured in shooting incident
A teenage boy and a man have been treated in hospital after a shooting in County Down.
The attack happened at about 7.30pm on Monday at Barcroft Park, Newry, when four shots from a shotgun were fired from a car.
The 30-year-old man and 14-year-old boy were taken to Daisy Hill Hospital in the town, where they were treated for pellet wounds.
They are believed to be members of the travelling community.
A local Sinn Fein councillor has blamed the incident on a feud between travellers.
Meanwhile a man is in hospital after being beaten in an attack in County Down.
The 23-year-old man was in bed when four men forced their way into his home in Meadowbank Park, Newtownards at about 11.15pm on Monday.
They were armed with a sledgehammer and baseball bats. Three men beat him with the bats while the fourth man held his wife in the bathroom.
The attackers set the family car alight as they left.
The man suffered a broken arm, bruising and cuts.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident in north Belfast. Police have reported that a 20-year-old man was injured in a paramilitary-style shooting at about 01:00 on Monday morning at Havana Walk in Ardoyne. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. An investigation into the shooting is underway.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.
