Antrim home attacked by petrol bombers

The home of a Protestant family has been attacked by petrol bombers at Dromain Drive in Antrim.

The attack took place shortly before 1am on Wednesday when two petrol bombs were thrown at a window.

One petrol bomb bounced into the garden of the house and burned out while the second ignited causing scorch damage to the house.

A father, his 20-year-old son, and his son's friend escaped injury in the attack.

Petrol bombers attack police
Petrol bombers have attacked police investigating reports of attacks in Londonderry's mainly protestant Fountain Estate. Officers investigating reports of youths throwing petrol bombs in the area on Saturday themselves came under attack at around 9.00pm. A number of petrol bombs were thrown at police vehicles, but there were no reports of injuries.

Police and family attacked by petrol bombers
Police examining a suspicious object in Strabane's Ballycolman industrial estate in County Tyrone have come under attack by petrol bombers. Officers called in to examine a suspicious object found in the estate at around midnight were attacked by a number of youths hurling petrol bombs and stones.

Police attacked by petrol bombers on Springfield Road
Police officers called to investigate reports of youths attempting to block a road in west Belfast yesterday evening were attacked by petrol bombers. At around 8.40pm, police responding to reports that youths were setting fire to tyres on the Springfield Road near to the Springfield Park junction were attacked by a group of youths.

Nationalist homes targeted by petrol bombers
Homes in the nationalist Ardoyne area have been attacked with petrol bombs during another night of violence in north Belfast. One family, including a five-month-old baby, escaped injury in the attacks after a petrol bomb was thrown into their back yard. Stones and golf balls were also thrown at a number of other homes on Alliance Avenue.

Police station attacked by petrol bombers
A police station on the predominantly nationalist Springfield Road in west Belfast came under sustained attack last night from around 50 youths. The attack occurred at around midnight when the gang of masked youths threw about 50 petrol bombs and other missiles at the station.
