Omagh sisters die in car crash
Two sisters from Omagh have been killed in a car crash in the Republic of Ireland.
Tara Heaney, 30, and her 18-year-old sister Cheryl, also from Omagh, died after their car was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle at around 10.20pm on Tuesday evening.
Two men, who were in the other car involved in the accident, were freed from the wreckage and taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. Both are said to be in a stable condition.
The women were heading towards Dublin when the accident happened near Monasterboice in County Louth.
A Garda spokesperson said that the two sisters were confirmed dead at the scene of the accident.
Officers have appealed for witnesses to the accident to contact them.

Five Injured In Car Crash
Five people have been injured in a car crash on the Newry Road in County Down. The accident involved two cars at around 6.30am this morning on the Sven Sisters stretch of the main Newry to Hilltown road. Two of the victims are in a serious but critical condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital. The others were taken to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.

Border Road Crash Claims Young Life
A young man, aged 21, has been killed and three other people have been injured in a car accident near Muff, County Donegal, just across the border with Northern Ireland. The man who died is believed to have been driving. No other vehicle was involved in the crash which happened at Drumhaggart at 4.30am on Sunday.

Serious Road Accident In L'Derry
Police are appealing for witnesses of a serious road accident in Maghera, Co L'Derry, on Sunday night. A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following the two car collision on the Coleraine Road. It is understood a number of people were injured in the collision but none of them seriously.

Man Dies In Omagh Crash
A man has died following a car crash in Omagh, Co Tyrone. The accident happened at around 12.30am on Wednesday morning on the Doogary Road. Only one vehicle, a Renault Scenic, was involved in the crash. It is understood that four other men who were in the car have been taken to hospital. One of the men is in a serious but stable condition.
