Local house builders win quality awards
Thirty building site managers in Northern Ireland have won Quality Awards in the first round of the National House Building Council's (NHBC) 2002 Pride in the Job campaign.
Now in its twenty-second year, this annual competition aims to find the UK's best house-building site manager, and those recognised this year include Rodney Allen from Antrim Construction Co., Paul Davidson from A. Davidson and Bill Houston from Gemini Homes Ltd.
The thirty winners from the province will now go through to the next stage, to compete for one of the "Top 100 Seal of Excellence" awards, to be revealed this autumn.
Quality Awards go to those site managers who build quality homes for their customers. Through their commitment to high standards in all areas of the construction process, they have demonstrated that they are the best in the business.
David Chapman, senior regional director and chairman of the judges, said: "At this level of the competition, we have to look at the smallest details to help us pick out the superlative site managers. In the final analysis, we want to see top-quality homes that have been constructed with meticulous attention to detail. All of these winners have managed to meet this standard and they can justly be proud of their achievements."
