National tourism agency VisitBritain has enlisted the help of a talkative Co Londonderry postie to help launch an exclusive 'First Class Guide to Britain & Northern Ireland'.
Championing postal workers' unique and classic local knowledge, Coleraine's Robert Ramsey is just 'First Class' as one of the postmen and women involved in the project which has have revealed some of their favourite parts of the United Kingdom.
This has been achieved via a series of 'cutting edge' podcasts hosted on the VisitBritain website.
Established stars such as Eamonn Holmes may need to watch their backs as, focusing on his beloved Castlerock, Robert uses his local knowledge as a postman to guide viewers through some of the area's most spectacular sights.
These include Mussenden Temple, (pictured) Downhill Castle and Forest, Hezlett House and his most favourite spot of all - the 17th hole at Castlerock Golf Club.
VisitBritain believe that the First Class Guide to Britain & Northern Ireland will help to entice both domestic and international holidaymakers to spend their summer break in the UK this year.
The postmen and women turn presenters as they take viewers on a tour of their daily routes revealing a treasure trove of little known delights across the country from London to Yorkshire, Edinburgh to Cornwall and Cardiff to Coleraine.
In partnership with VisitBritain, the stunning videos showcase some hidden gems of local knowledge gleaned from years of experience on their respective routes, to help entice domestic and international holidaymakers.
With the ongoing effects of the credit crunch and the associated rise in the cost of living, it is expected that increasing numbers of families will choose to holiday within Britain itself this year.
The 'First Class Guide to Britain & Northern Ireland' taps into the unique local knowledge of Royal Mail's post people, offering a fascinating insight into some of the unseen parts of the UK.
