Two New Belfast Harbour Commissioners Appointed
Two city councillors have been appointed to the Belfast Harbour Commissioners.
Belfast City Council's Patrick Convery and Danny Lavery will replace predecessors incumbent Lord Mayor Tom Hartley and councillor Alban Maginness.
Regional Development Minister, Conor Murphy, has welcomed the appointments.
The Minister said: "The appointment of Councillor Convery and Councillor Lavery, who join Belfast City Councillors David Browne and David Rodway on the Board of Belfast Harbour Commissioners, allows the electorate of Belfast to continue to have an important voice on the board of the Harbour Commissioners."
"I wish to thank the outgoing members, Councillors Tom Hartley and Alban Maginness, who both made a valuable contribution to the work of the board and I wish them well for the future," added Mr Murphy.
Belfast Harbour Commissioners are responsible for the improvement, maintenance and management of the Port of Belfast and for the facilities within it.
Board members currently receive remuneration of £9,945 per annum.

SS Nomadic to return to Belfast in July
The SS Nomadic will return to Belfast in July, the Department of Social Development has today revealed. The SS Nomadic was built at Harland and Wolff in Belfast in 1910 and was originally used to ferry first-class passengers to and from both the Titanic and its sister ship, the Olympic.

Former City Airport chief joins Harbour Commissioners
The former head of Belfast City Airport has been appointed Chief Executive of Belfast Harbour Commissioners. John Doran, who oversaw the construction of the new £20 million terminal at Belfast City, replaces Gordon Irwin who retired from Belfast Harbour Commissioners the end of last year.

Belfast Cruise Vessel In 'Deep Water'
As the latest cruise liner to visit NI headed into Belfast Lough in near perfect weather conditions this morning it was revealed that it would be using a new multi-million pound dock facility for the first time. The Crown Princess arrived on Tuesday for the official opening of the £10m extension of the Stormont Wharf at the Port of Belfast.
