16 Jobs At Galway Biomedical Plant

An additional 16 jobs are to be created at a Galway biomedical plant.

Proxy Biomedical has announced plans to double its workforce over the next two years.

The jobs will be at the firm's new An Spidéal manufacturing base.

Speaking at the opening of the new facility, Proxy Biomedical's Peter Mulrooney said Galway has a cluster of biomedical and pharmaceutical firms and that Údarás na Gaeltachta had "provided a high standard facility" to allow the company expand.

Proxy Biomedical researches, develops, produces and markets biomaterials for the repair and regeneration of tissue.
