Man Charged With Supplying Cocaine

A man has appeared in court in Londonderry charged with supplying class A drugs.

Twenty-five-year-old Sean Rodgers, from Glenowen Park, appeared at Derry City Magistrates court, accused of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

He also faces charges relating to the possession of cannabis and having £1,835, contrary to the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The offences are suspected to have taken place at the man's home on Wednesday. He is due to appear before court again next month.

A man has been charged in connection with a shooting in a Banbridge car park in April of this year. The 46-year-old man who has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder is due to appear before Banbridge Magistrates' Court, sitting in Newry Courthouse, on Thursday 8 August.

PSNI Welcomes Sentencing Of Man For 'Harrowing' Domestic Assault
The PSNI has welcomed the sentencing of a man at Laganside Crown Court in connection with a domestic assault in North Belfast last year. 32-year-old Jordan Spence was sentenced to 40 months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, 12 months for false imprisonment, 12 months for criminal damage and 12 months for threats to kill.

Man Attack With Baseball Bats In Newry
The PSNI in Newry have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a serious assault in the town on Tuesday, 10 September. Shortly after 10.20pm police received a report that a man, aged in his 30's, had been attacked by a number of males armed with baseball bats in the Helen's Terrace area.
