Man Treated In Hospital After Canoe Accident
A man has been treated in hospital following a canoeing accident in Strangford Lough.
Police received reports at 11.20am yesterday that a man was in difficulties after his canoe had overturned in the incident near Cloughey.
A jet-skier, who was in the lough, made his way to the wounded 58-year-old and brought him to safety. Meanwhile, police and the coastguard acted together to locate the man.
He was taken to hospital, and was treated for exhaustion and exposure.

Man Killed In Co Tyrone Crash Named
A 50-year-old man killed in a crash is Co Tyrone has been named. Kieran McSorley was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the collision on the Omagh Road just before 7pm. Three other people were taken to hospital to be treated, however their conditions are not known. The road was re-opened at around 3am on Friday.

Police rescue man from flat fire
A 40-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a fire at a flat in Magherafelt. The alarm was raised shortly after 10pm on Thursday when a fire was spotted inside the flat at Queen Street. When police arrived at the scene an officer spotted smoke coming from under the door.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
