Three Arrests Over Police Shooting

Three men have been arrested and are being questioned over the attempted murder of an off-duty policeman in Bishop Street, Londonderry in November 2007.

The Catholic officer, 43, from the Bogside area of the city, was shot and wounded last year after dropping his son off at school.

The Real IRA admitted responsibility for the shooting at the time.

Man Shot In Both Legs As He Slept In L'Derry
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in L'Derry. Police have said that shortly midnight, three masked men forced their way into a house on Kildrum Gardens. Two of the men entered a bedroom where a man was asleep, shooting him once in each leg. The man is currently being treated in hospital.

Teenager Shot In L'Derry
A teenager has been shot in the Creggan area of L'Derry. The incident occurred in the Rathlin Drive area of the city at around 11.20pm on Thursday. It is understood the 18-year-old was shot five times in the leg. He received three gunshot wounds on his right leg and two on his left leg.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Further Arrests In Paramilitary Attacks
Further arrests have been made by police investigating a series of paramilitary attacks in the Coleraine and north Antrim area, it has been reported. Four men, aged 38, 41, 45 and 48 were detained on Wednesday morning. They are understood to be undergoing questioning at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.
