Man Remanded On Portrush 'Fire' Death
A suspect has been remanded in custody as an investigation into the alleged murder of a Newtownabbey man - since living in the seaside town of Portrush - continues.
The 19-year-old has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man whose body was found after a fire at a flat in popular resort.
Glen Allen from Glenarm Avenue in the town was remanded in custody when he appeared before a special sitting of Ballymena Magistrates Court.
Thirty-five-year-old William Meek's body was discovered in the flat at Causeway Street on Wednesday.
He was originally from Newtownabbey's Rathcoole estate on the outskirts of Belfast.
