Life's A Beach At Portrush Party
An estimated 18,000 young people enjoyed glorious sunshine at the weekend's Portrush Beach Party.
Live in Portrush - the largest outdoor music event in Northern Ireland - took place at the East Strand beach with Grammy award-winning act the Chemical Brothers heading the bill.
The Chemicals, who consist of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, blasted out tunes including Galvanise and Hey Boy Hey Girl during an explosive 90 minute set.
The event was in danger of being cancelled this year after the previous organisers failed to secure a big name act to perform. However, Co Antrim's PLM Promotions stepped in to ensure the party went ahead.
As well as the Chemical Brothers, fans were also treated to performances from Fedde le Grand, Utah Saints, Eric Prydz and Steve Agnello.
While a number of people were arrested for drugs offences, police said they were generally happy with how the day went.
A PSNI spokeswoman said: "Saturday's event at Portrush beach passed off successfully with more than 18,000 people travelling to the area.
"Police worked closely with Coleraine Council, other emergency services and the event organisers to ensure a safe and well planned event."
