Lisburn Taxi Driver Facing People Trafficking Charges
A 51-year-old taxi driver has appeared in court today facing charges related to people trafficking.
Colin Rutherford, from Glenmore Park, Hilden, near Lisburn appeared at Antrim Magistrates Court. He is charged with six charges relating to assisting unlawful immigration. The incidents are alleged to have occurred between 9 November 2007 and May of this year.
Mr Rutherford is charged with assisting in the unlawful immigration of persons from outside the European Union and conveying them to the Irish Republic.
The 51-year-old has been freed on continuing bail and is due to appear in court again on 29 July. As part of his bail conditions he is not permitted to enter any airport or dock.

Willie Frazer Arrested For Bail Breach
Prominent loyalist campaigner Willie Frazer has been arrested for breaching his bail conditions. The 52-year-old was arrested on Monday at about 19:30 in the Portadown area. He is expected to appear in court today. Bail conditions were imposed following charges linked to union flag protests earlier in the year.

Police launch murder inquiry in Moneymore
Police are appealing for information after a man was found dead in Co Londonderry. The 37-year-old man, who is of Asian origin, is believed to have been attacked at Rockview Park in Moneymore on Sunday. The man succumbed to severe head injuries on Tuesday. Two men have already appeared in court on Tuesday in connection with the incident.
