'Renewal programme' gets underway at Foyleside M&S
Work has commenced on a major development at the Marks & Spencer store in Londonderry estimated at over £500,000.
Chosen as one of three Northern Ireland stores to receive a ‘renewal programme’ makeover this year, work will continue over the next two months to create the new look store in Foyleside Shopping Centre.
When complete the revamped store will employ more than 130 permanent staff.
Commenting on the renewal programme, Roslyn Knowles, Store Manager said: “This is one of the most ambitious development programmes ever undertaken at the Foyleside store and will create a fabulous new look for our store.
“Once work is complete we will have a stunning new store featuring an enhanced ladieswear range, selling the products our customers want in a stylish and superb new setting.”
The new look store will incorporate facilities such as new fitting rooms and till banks on both floors, as well as additional toilet facilities adjacent to the café.
Roslyn added: “The Marks & Spencer Belfast store was revamped as one of the businesses first ‘renewal’ stores in October last year, and has been an instant hit with customers – we know that the Foyleside store will be just as successful.
“Business has really taken off in Marks & Spencer Foyleside in the last year and we are confident that our customers will welcome these further improvements to their Marks & Spencer store.”
The Marks & Spencer Foyleside store opened to the public in 1995.
