T-Mobile announces customised price plan
T-Mobile, one of the world’s leading mobile communications companies, has announced a radical change in the way customers choose mobile services.
With the launch of 'Customise Your Price Plan', T-Mobile customers will be able to select services according to their individual needs and only pay for those services they want to use.
Acknowledging that different people use their mobile phones in different ways, T-Mobile's 'Customise Your Price Plan' users can build the service that they want. Users can choose a suitable tariff – adding text, interactive-text and WAP allowances, selecting data services such as picture messaging and choosing their preferred terms of payment (monthly, quarterly or annual).
Additional services can be added at any time, either online via the T-Mobile website, by calling customer services or by visiting a T-Mobile store.
Clent Richardson, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at T-Mobile, said: “'Customise Your Price Plan' recognises that mobile phone users want to be with a network that meets their individual needs, delivers excellent services and doesn’t pigeon-hole them.
“The best way to see this new service is by comparing it to a Chinese take-away menu. The set menu is great for some, but those that are a bit more adventurous will choose their own courses and even order things twice if they like them a lot.
“We strongly believe that this sort of flexibility is long overdue and that it’s time to give customers the chance to make their own choices. This will definitely appeal to our existing customers but we are also confident that this initiative will help us attract significant new customers and secure the position as the third biggest network operator in the UK.”
T-Mobile (UK), formerly known as One 2 One, is the UK network of T-Mobile International – one of Deutsche Telekom AG’s four strategic divisions.
The T-Mobile network currently handles over 260 million calls each week in the UK alone.
