Environmental Company Boosts Turnover

A local company specialising in contamination control has been given a boost by Invest Northern Ireland.

It has helped North West-based Alpha Environmental Systems Ltd to significantly boost its exports - and its annual turnover to £4.1 million.

Alpha Environmental, in Coleraine, provides products and services to restore contaminated soil and water for both residential and industrial markets worldwide.

Invest NI has offered a wide range of support for the company to facilitate marketing, staff training, customer relationship management and attendance at trade exhibitions.

It has also assisted with public relations consultancy costs to help Alpha Environmental increase its business in external markets.

Stephen Chestnutt, Managing Director of Alpha Environmental Systems, said: "Our customer focus and high levels of technical competence amongst our staff have been instrumental in developing our business outside Northern Ireland.

"Invest NI assistance has also helped us to research and develop new products so that we can exceed the expectations of our customers by providing first-class solutions in this increasingly competitive industry."

Brian Dolaghan, Invest NI's Director of Engineering and Business Services, also said: "Alpha Environmental has been quick to capitalise on many of the opportunities that have arisen in this expanding market, and it has realised the importance of seeking new business in export markets in order to sustain its growth.

"It has continued to introduce innovative service offerings and information management processes, and this has also contributed to its increasingly impressive operating results."
