Police Vehicles Damaged During Clash

Three police vehicles have been damaged during violent clashes between rival gangs in east Belfast.

Police were called to the Newtownards Road and Albert Bridge Road interface with nationalist Short Strand on Sunday following reports of disturbances.

A PSNI spokesman said missiles were thrown between the groups, however no arrests were made and there were no reported injuries.

Riot police and community representatives were able to restore calm in the area.
