New Development In Jennifer Cardy Murder Case

There has been a new development in the unsolved murder case of Northern Ireland schoolgirl Jennifer Cardy.

According to reports, detectives who questioned convicted child killer Robert Black about the murder have handed a report to the Public Prosecution Service in Belfast.

Jennifer, nine, disappeared while cycling to a friend's house close to her home in Ballinderry, near Lisburn, in August 1981.

Her body was found at a dam near Hillsborough six days later.

Black was working as a van driver at the time of the killing and he made deliveries to Northern Ireland.

Black, 60, was jailed for a minimum of 35 years in 1994 for the murders of Susan Maxwell, Caroline Hogg and Sarah Harper.

Susan, 11, from Cornhill on Tweed in Northumberland, disappeared in Coldstream in July 1982. Her body was found in Loxley, outside Uttoxeter.

Five-year-old Caroline disappeared from Portobello in Edinburgh in July 1983. Her body was found ten days after she vanished in Twycross, Leicestershire.

Sarah, 10, disappeared from Morley in Leeds in March 1986. Her body was found the following month in the River Trent in Nottingham.
