Ballynahinch Motorcyclist Killed

A baby has escaped injury in a stoning attack on a car in Belfast, while there has been a fatal accident over the weekend in Co Down.

The motorcyclist who was killed in the traffic accident in County Down was 65-year-old Carryduff man Raymond Davison.

He died in a collision involving a 4x4 vehicle on the main road between Ballynahinch and Carryduff at about 4.15pm on Saturday.

The tragedy happened near the Temple crossroads, close to where another fatal accident occurred in February.

The death marks the 27th person to be killed on Northern Ireland roads so far this year.

Meanwhile, a mother and baby have been showered with glass after a brick was thrown through a window in their car.

It happened on Saturday afternoon as the woman drove through north Belfast, along the Limestone Road towards the Antrim Road.

Both of them escaped injury in the attack, which also happened at about 4.15pm on Saturday.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
