Blaze Woman's Body Investigated
Detectives in south Belfast are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of woman whose body was found at a house near Tate's Avenue.
The woman was found after emergency services responded to calls reporting a fire in the premises in the Olympia Parade area, near Tate’s Avenue, shortly after 1:00pm today.
A PSNI spokesperson said detectives are currently investigating the death.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Death Of Woman In Belfast Being Investigated As Murder
A murder investigation has been launched into the death of a woman in Belfast on Tuesday 01 October. Police officers discovered the body of 22-year-old Mary Ward at her home on Melrose Street. The PSNI have said that "following extensive investigations by Detectives in Serious Crime Branch, a murder investigation has been launched".

Pensioner attacked during burglary of her home
A 90-year-old woman was assaulted during a burglary of her home in Ballygowan, Co Down last night. The woman was confronted by a teenager after hearing noise in her kitchen. The youth then assaulted the elderly woman before escaping into an alley at the back of the house. Police believe an accomplice then joined the assailant.

Car Crash Death Investigated
Hours after police investigating a fatal road collision over a week ago - near Bushmills - revisited the scene to appeal for witnesses, a man has been killed in another road accident, this time near Coalisland in Co Tyrone. No other vehicle was involved in the latest accident, which happened on the Farlough Road at about 4.15am on Monday.

'Embarrassing' Report Into Housing Executive Contracts
The Housing Executive was complacent about poor and bogus repair work by contractors, an independent report has found. Staff at the Housing Executive were investigated as a result of problems with former contractor Red Sky. And the body’s chairman said the Audit Office report out yesterday is "embarrassing".
