Stormont Visited By Police
In one of the grandest events this year for Northern Ireland, The Police will be hosting a monstrous open air concert in Stormont's grounds this summer.
The gig is apparently going to be their last ever in Northern Ireland, and it is thought 35,000 fans will be able to cram in to see the Police at work.
In 2007, The Police thrilled millions of fans around the globe with their much heralded tour, selling over 2.5 million tickets and garnering numerous accolades including Major Tour of The Year, and Top Selling Tour of 2007.
Their concert schedule included sold out performances at many of the most historic and renowned stadiums around the world including Croke Park, Twickenham Stadium, Stade de France and the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires.
The Police return to Europe this summer for a select number of prestigious festival events, including the Stormont event before returning to Germany, France, Spain and Italy to perform at various arenas and stadiums through June and July.
Tickets for the concert taking place on 20 June are to go on sale Thursday 13 March at 9.00am priced £68 and £78
Stormont has already hosted world famous acts such as Pavarotti, Elton John and the Eagles, but this will be the first concert in the grounds in two years.
The band broke up in the mid-1980s, but reunited in early 2007 with the announcement that they are undertaking a world tour.
