Strabane Men Among Accused In Republic 'Kidnap Plot'
Two of the five men arrested in connection with an alleged dissident republican kidnap plot in the Irish Republic are from Northern Ireland.
All the accused were remanded in custody at Dublin's Special Criminal Court on Monday.
The men - two with addresses in Strabane, Co. Tyrone; two with addresses in Dublin; and one with no fixed address - have also been charged with membership of the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA).
They are due to re-appear before the same court on Friday.
The men were among seven people arrested in Cork, Kerry and Limerick on Friday night as part of a Garda investigation into alleged dissident terrorist activity in the Cork city area.
Reports have indicated that gardaí foiled alleged plans to kidnap a businessman and his family.
Two of the men arrested were released without charge on Sunday night. Files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Two men arrested following attempted child kidnap
Two men have been arrested following the attempted kidnap of a 12-year-old girl in Co Tyrone last night. The incident occurred during the attempted robbery of the girl's home in Dungannon at about 9.30pm on Thursday. The assailants, who were armed, broke into the house at Cullenramer Road and demanded money.

Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Fraud And Money Offences Released
A 70-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of fraud and money offences has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The woman was arrested in west Belfast following and incident in Coleraine after the PSNI were alerted of a suspicious withdrawal from a 74-year-old man's account.
